The Way, the Truth and the Life
“I am the way, the truth and the life”. That is what our Messiah said in St.John.14: 6. The way here refers to the way to eternal life. Messiah will not only show us the way to the eternal kingdom but He is also the way!

God (Yah) led Abram from the land of Haran to Canaan. In the days of Moses, God’s pillar of fire led the Israelites from Egypt to the Promised Land. We find many such instances in the Old Testament where God (Yah) led people from one place to another, from slavery to freedom, from wickedness to goodness. David said, ‘Teach me your way, O Lord’ (Psalms.27: 11) The Lord Himself will show us the way because he has already chosen the path in which we walk. We should not turn to the right or left but walk in the ways that the Lord has commanded. (Deut.5: 32,33) You will hear a word behind you saying, ‘this is the way, walk in it’. (Isa.30: 21) The way in which we should walk is a way of holiness, where the unclean shall not walk. The way is so very clear, without confusion or obstacles that even a fool shall not go astray. (Isa.35: 8) Let us then go forward cheerfully, assured that the end of this way shall be everlasting joy, and rest. Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) is the sinner's Way to the Father and to heaven, as God (Yah) manifest in the flesh, in his atoning sacrifice, and as our Advocate. He is the Truth, as fulfilling all the prophecies of a Saviour; believing which, sinners come by him the Way. Yahshua Messiah has prepared a new way for us, a new and living way to enter into the holiest place. He came into this world not just to point out the way to eternal life, but to take us there personally. He will lead us in the way just as the pillar of fire led Moses and the Israelites.

Psalms.25: 10, ’the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth’. Psalms.86: 15, ‘ the Lord is abundant in mercy and truth’. Truth means reliability, trustworthiness, and faithfulness. Truth is not the academic or intellectual truth but the moral truth and he who does this truth comes to light. (John.3: 21). Yahshua Messiah is the personification of the way, the truth and the life. In Him we come face to face with reality and truth. We will not be led away by false gods and imitations; we will not be left guessing or groping in the shadows. Truth is something to direct a man’s ways.

We know the story of the rich young ruler who came to Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah)
Messiah told him that if he wanted to enter eternal life he had to keep the commandments. John.1: 4.in Him was life and the life was the life of men. Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) is not only the creator of life but also the re-creator of life. In the beginning He created Adam in his physical form and put him in this earthly world but now through His blood he gives eternal life and takes us into the heavenly kingdom. He created this earth for Adam as a shadow of the eternal kingdom. This eternal life is something beyond everlasting; there is no time limit to it.

Occasionally we meet someone who brings a lot of change in our lives. Life gets a new meaning; we have a new vitality, freshness about us. We set new vales in our life. All this because of just one human being. Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) does the same for us on a divine level. He lifts us above the earthly level and makes us partakers of the eternal life.

He is the Life, whose life-giving Spirit gives life to the dead in sin. No man can draw near the Father if he is not quickened by Him as the Life, and taught by Him as the Truth, to come by Him as the Way. By Christ, as the Way, our prayers go to God, and his blessings come to us; this is the Way that leads to rest, the good old Way. for the soul.

Life is the opposite of perishing. God (Yah) so loved the world the He gave his only Son …but have everlasting life. (John.3: 16)
Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) came into the world that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John.10: 10)
We can have this everlasting life by studying the word of God (Yah) (John.5: 39) The Jews believed that the scriptures themselves contain eternal life. Eternal life can be got by obeying His word that is written in the scriptures. (John.12: 50) Read Ecclesiastes.12: 13. ‘Fear God (Yah) and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man’.  In John.6: 63,Messiah says,’ the words that I speak, they are life’. If we listen to the words that He speaks and live in such manner, we will have eternal life. If we believe that Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) is the Son of God (Yah), we will have eternal life (John.3: 36). He said that He is the bread that came down from heaven, not like manna which the Israelites ate and died but this bread is the bread of life. The body of Messiah is the bread of life. Whenever we partake in the Lord’s Supper, we remember that He died for our sins, to wash them away, and bring us to eternal life. By giving us eternal life, He takes us by our hand and no power can take us away from Him (John.10: 28)

Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man can come to the Father except through Him.
Without the Way, no journey can be undertaken. Without the Truth, no truth can be known. Without the Life, no life can be lived.
Follow the Way, believe the Truth and hope for the Life eternal which our Savior is offering!
