Faithfulness:
We as believers know that Messiah is the Creator, Saviour and our Redeemer from all the problems
in our daily lives. We have faith and trust Him. He answers all our prayers according to His will in our lives. He is faithful in His promises (2 Cor.1: 20). He is faithful to forgive our sins (1 John.1: 8-10). He is faithful in His words. We read many verses in the Bible that the Lord is faithful to all who believe in Him. We have faith in Him but how faithful are we to Him? How faithful is man to God (Yah), towards his family and at his work?
What is faith? What is faithfulness? Faith means confidence, trust, reliance, assurance or conviction.
Faithfulness means truthful, loyalty or closeness.

Faithfulness to God (Yah)
2Cor.13: 5-8. ‘Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Prove yourselves. Do you not know yourselves that Jesus (Yahshua) is in you? Unless indeed you are disqualified. But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified. Now I pray to God (Yah) that you do no evil, not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is honorable, though we may seem disqualified. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.’ The first things we have to do are check and test ourselves whether we are faithful. I John.2: 3-5,’ Now by this we know that we…know Him, if we keep His commandments, He who says, ‘I know Him’ and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God (Yah) is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.’

As a second step we have to obey His commandments, i.e., doing what He tells us to do. Are we reading the Bible daily, praying, keeping His appointed times, worshipping Him, acknowledging His power each day of our lives. Do we fear Him and depart from evil? (Prov.16: 6). Prayer is a ladder to success. If you want life to be successful do it with prayer. We are helpless and can do nothing on our own. It is He who gives us success. So accept His authority so that He leads us to success. Prov.3: 5-6,’ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.’ Prov.16: 3. Commit your ways to the Lord and your thoughts will be established. Psalms.37: 5,’ Commit your ways to the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass’.

The third step is if you are faithful to the Lord, you will win favour of both God (Yah) and man, (Prov.3: 3,4) Being faithful gives us the reward as Messiah is coming soon. (Heb.10: 35-36). Therefore seek His kingdom and set right your life as the judgment day is coming soon!

Faithful at home. As a child our first relationship is with our parents. Be faithful to them, honor them, and love them with true love. As parents it is our bounded duty to love, protect and teach the right values and live an honest life. Do not teach them to lie, deceive, and dishonor, to be unfaithful, because these small things make big sins as the child grows with it. Parents’ life should be an example to the child. Eph. 6: 1-2…Be faithful to your partner, be honest, sincere to one another. Be trustworthy. Together provide for the needs of the family. Earn for the family. (I Tim.5: 8) If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. (2 Thes.3: 10). Comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work (2 Thes.2: 17). Together train your children in reading the Bible regularly. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Prov.22: 6) As parents we learnt about God (Yah), tasted Him and experienced His great love and miracles in our lives, pass this testimony to our children. It is time children enjoyed the blessings which we received. They are also due for it. (Psalms.78: 5-6) He commanded our fore fathers to teach their children so that the next generation would know Him, even the children yet to be born. This we see in the life of Timothy (2 Tim.1: 5) and many more instances in the Bible.

Faithful in the workplace. Eph.6: 5-8. Servants be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart as to Christ (Messiah); not with eye service, as men pleasers, but as servants of Christ (Messiah), doing the will of God (Yah) from the heart, with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not as to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free. The same thought is repeated in Col.3: 22-25.In 2Thes.3: 6-15, Paul warns us against idleness and exhorts us not to be dependent on others but to work for our livelihood because there were many persons who did not work but were busybodies. The servant, who waits for the coming of his Lord, must be working as his Lord has commanded. If we are idle, the devil and a corrupt heart will soon find some mischief to do. The mind of man is a busy thing; if it is not employed in doing good, it will be doing evil.  Eccl.3: 13,’ …and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the fruit of his labor—it is the gift of God (Yah). Heb.13: 7, 17, ‘Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God (Yah) to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct…obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.’
