Faithfulness: Faithfulness to God (Yah) As a second step we have to obey His commandments, i.e., doing what He tells us to do. Are we reading the Bible daily, praying, keeping His appointed times, worshipping Him, acknowledging His power each day of our lives. Do we fear Him and depart from evil? (Prov.16: 6). Prayer is a ladder to success. If you want life to be successful do it with prayer. We are helpless and can do nothing on our own. It is He who gives us success. So accept His authority so that He leads us to success. Prov.3: 5-6,’ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.’ Prov.16: 3. Commit your ways to the Lord and your thoughts will be established. Psalms.37: 5,’ Commit your ways to the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass’. The third step is if you are faithful to the Lord, you will win favour of both God (Yah) and man, (Prov.3: 3,4) Being faithful gives us the reward as Messiah is coming soon. (Heb.10: 35-36). Therefore seek His kingdom and set right your life as the judgment day is coming soon! Faithful at home. As a child our first relationship is with our parents. Be faithful to them, honor them, and love them with true love. As parents it is our bounded duty to love, protect and teach the right values and live an honest life. Do not teach them to lie, deceive, and dishonor, to be unfaithful, because these small things make big sins as the child grows with it. Parents’ life should be an example to the child. Eph. 6: 1-2…Be faithful to your partner, be honest, sincere to one another. Be trustworthy. Together provide for the needs of the family. Earn for the family. (I Tim.5: 8) If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. (2 Thes.3: 10). Comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work (2 Thes.2: 17). Together train your children in reading the Bible regularly. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Prov.22: 6) As parents we learnt about God (Yah), tasted Him and experienced His great love and miracles in our lives, pass this testimony to our children. It is time children enjoyed the blessings which we received. They are also due for it. (Psalms.78: 5-6) He commanded our fore fathers to teach their children so that the next generation would know Him, even the children yet to be born. This we see in the life of Timothy (2 Tim.1: 5) and many more instances in the Bible. |
