Children of God (Yahweh):
Many times in the Bible we come across the words ‘children of God (Yahweh)’. We call anybody who is young, as a child.  In the same way we are all children in the sight of God (Yahweh). When can a person be called as a child of God (Yahweh) and how should these children of God (Yahweh) be?

We read in John.1: 12, ‘As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God (Yahweh).’ God (Yahweh) loved the world so much that he gave his only Son to die on the cross for us and for our sins. When we receive him as our personal Saviour, He calls us His children. Only His children can enter into the kingdom of God (Yahweh). (John.3: 5)

As children of God, we received his love (John.3: 16, 1 John.3: 1) He died for us while we were yet sinners.(Rom5: 8) He did not wait till we repented of our sins. He did not wait till some preacher came along and preached us the word of salvation. No. He sent his Son to die on the cross while we were yet sinners. Can we ever find greater love than this anywhere in the history of the world?
We are insignificant but he notices us. (Ps.8:3-4) ‘For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour’.
The world does not know us as children of God (Yahweh). (1Cor.4:9-12). So the world despises us, calls us fools, dishonors us, beats us… but we bear all these and much more because we are His children! Halleluyah!

How should children of God (Yahweh) be in their daily lives?
Practice righteousness: We read in 1 John.2:29, ‘Those who practice righteousness are born of him. What is righteousness? It means purity of heart. It is nearly equal to holiness. When we become his children we shall be like him (1Cor15: 49), holy and pure. (1Jn.3: 10). Do good to all men; do not bear any grudge against your neighbor. Anger is like a cancer that grows till it cannot be controlled. Have patience in all things.
Be sober (1Pet.1: 13, 14) because drunkards shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Yahweh). (1Cor.6: 10)
Receive rebuke from God (Yahweh): (Yahweh). When we do mistakes or commit sins, we should be ready to receive rebuke or punishment from God (Yahweh).(Heb12: 5-8). Remember the Lord rebukes and corrects those whom he loves.
Renew our spirit:  Very often we get tired of life. We see our neighbors prospering and having a grand time without any fear of God (Yahweh). Our spirit fails us. We wonder why we have all the troubles while everyone else enjoys life. This is the time to renew our spirit. Remember all the blessings that He has showered on you. Remember the gift of eternal life that is waiting for us. Praise the Lord! Ask for the filling of the Holy Spirit every day. (Heb12: 12-15) ‘Be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is  good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Yahweh).(Rom.12: 2)
Clean Living: Separate yourself from things which defile you. Those will only turn you away from God (Yahweh) and bring destruction on you. As children of God (Yahweh) our lives should be blameless and harmless (Phil.2: 15). We should not give the evil one to corrupt our lives.
Obedience: We should obey the Father (1John.2: 3). We should obey His commandments and live according to His commandments. Many people these days say that even the Ten Commandments have been nailed to the cross and there is no need for them anymore. Is there anything in the Ten Commandments that is against (Col.2:14) us? Paul himself admitted that the law is good. By keeping the law we know what sin is and we can avoid them.
Sound speech: Our speech seasoned with grace, always suitable to our profession. Use polite speech which will attract people rather than repel.(Col.4: 6) Just as food without salt is tasteless, so also speech without grace will be unpleasant.

Loves sincerely:  Love your neighbor sincerely, not in word only, without the heart, but in deed and truth (1Jn.3: 18). Our love should be displayed by our actions. Let us show that our love is sincere and real.
Resist the devil: Overcome the spirit of antichrist (1Jn.4: 4) There are many false prophets in the world today whose only god is their belly (Phil.3:19). They promise liberty but they themselves are servants of corruption. (2 Pet.2: 19). By their cunning they preach the word of God (Yahweh) which is twisted to suit their ideas. This is the work of the antichrist which tries to draw people away from the one true God (Yahweh). Be ready to resist such teachings, resist the devil and he will flee from you (Jas.4:7)
If we are led by the Spirit, we are the Sons of God (Yahweh).and the spirit bears witness that we are the children of God (Yahweh). (Rom8: 16)
Be Peacemakers: Remember, as children of God (Yahweh), we are the peacemakers (Matt.5: 9).We have a very important duty and that is to spread the message of peace and to spread peace wherever we go. As peacemakers we should not only keep the peace, but try to bring men into live in harmony and peace with each other.
We are the children of God (Yahweh) by faith (Gal.3:26). We live by faith, we walk by faith, and faith is the foundation and the central pillar of our lives. Faith has come to all of us. We are all God (Yahweh)’s children by faith in Christ (Messiah). God (Yahweh) sent his Son to redeem us from sin and call us his children and sent the Holy Spirit into our hearts.
What a privilege we have to be called the children of God (Yahweh) ! Halleluyah!
