The Grace of God (Yahweh)
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah), the love of God (Yahweh), and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.” How familiar these words are to all believers! At the end of the church service, all pastors give this benediction to the congregation. We all know about Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah), the Holy Spirit and of God (Yahweh) the Father, but do we realize the importance of the grace of our Lord in our daily lives?
Grace is defined as,’ the free unmerited love and favor of God, the spring and source of all the benefits men receive from him’. (Webster’s Dictionary, 1828). It is the favourable influence of God (Yahweh), divine influence of the Spirit in renewing the heart and restraining from sin. The grace of Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) plays a very important role in a Christian’s life.

Grace was prophesied by the prophets of the Old Testament (1 Pet.1:10) Peter tells us how the prophets, who were inspired by God (Yahweh), knew of the glorious times of light, grace and comfort which would come upon the church. In John.1:17 we read that the law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah). The law was given so that people may know how they are living and to correct themselves when they live ungodly lives. But grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah), that is, a declaration of the love of God (Yahweh) to men.

Grace came by Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah). The evils which we suffer due to the sin of Adam are nothing compared to the mercies of eternal life that will flow from the work of the Saviour. In Rom.1:7, Paul speaks of the grace and peace from God (Yahweh) our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah). Here, the apostle regarded Him as the source of grace and peace as the Father. Grace is given by Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) .He is the dispenser of the favours of God (Yahweh) Those who are united to him by faith, and made to partake of his spirits and merits, are the objects of divine favour. God (Yahweh) loves them and fills them with his blessings.

The gospel is a declaration of grace (Acts.20:24) Paul declares the Gospel to be a gospel of his grace. Yes, the gospel is one unending account of the great love of the Father towards man. In spite of the way in which we have forsaken him, like the disciples ( ) and have gone our own sinful and worldly way, He has not forgotten us. He loves us so much that he gave his only Son to die on the cross for our sins. Our sins are forgiven, not because of the good works that we may do, but only by His grace. No one else in the history of mankind has made such a sacrifice for the good of man!
Paul and Peter, while justifying that there was no need for the Gentile converts to be circumcised, asserted that we have salvation only through His grace and not by following the law of Moses.

The Holy Spirit is the spirit of grace. (Zec.12:10)  Zechariah prophesied that I the end times, Yahweh will pour out his spirit, the spirit of grace, on the house of David. The Holy Spirit here is called as the spirit of grace and supplication, not merely because he is good and gracious, and loving to his people, and is of grace given unto them; but because he is the author of all grace in them; of gracious convictions, and spiritual illuminations; of quickening, regenerating, converting, and sanctifying grace; and of all particular graces, as faith, hope, love, fear, repentance, humility, joy, peace, meekness, patience, longsuffering, self-denial, and he is called the "Spirit of supplications"; because he hears the prayers of his people, shows them their wants, and stirs them up to pray; enlarges their hearts, supplies them with arguments, and puts words into their mouths; gives faith, fervency, and freedom, and encourages to come to God as their Father, and makes intercession for them.

Grace is necessary for ministry (Acts.12:28). Unless we have the grace of God (Yahweh) as a covering over us, protecting and leading us, we cannot preach the gospel to the unsaved. Our life’s destiny is in His hands. He calls us to His service because of His grace. (Gal.1:15).  Here we should remember that because we have the grace of God (Yahweh) over us, we should not become spiritually proud. This leads to our downfall. We should grow in grace, speak with grace and be established in grace. In Heb.12: 15, an example is given of Esau, who for a morsel of food, was ready to forego his birthright. Many people who have toiled hard for His sake, somewhere along the way, fall to temptation of money and lose the grace of God (Yahweh). Paul, who was undoubtedly the greatest evangelist in those times, was not allowed to have perfect health. He was given a ‘thorn in the side, as a constant reminder that God (Yahweh) was supreme and we should not ‘be exalted above measure, (2Cor.12:7) God (Yahweh) tells Paul that His grace is sufficient for Paul. Yes, this grace is sufficient for all of us. We need not worry about what we eat or drink or wear, because His grace is always with us to take care of them.

We find that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given by His grace (Rom.12: 6) Each in the church had his duties, just as the hand, or foot, or eye of the body. These duties were indicated by the "gift" dealt out by "the measure of faith." They differed according to the grace that was given. One gift was given to one, as he was seen to be fit for it, and another gift to another. Seven gifts are now spoken of in succession. All these gifts are not the effects of nature, the fruits of human power, diligence, and industry, but flow from the grace of God, who dispenses them when, where, and to whom he pleases in a free and sovereign manner; and to be acknowledged as such, and used to his glory, and for the good of his church and people.

The grace of God (Yahweh) is given to the humble, because a vain or proud person will misuse this grace. The Lord scorns the proud and haughty person, but has mercy on the poor and lowly because the poor bear the contempt and insults of the proud, without murmuring.
Let us follow peace with all men and be careful in our lives lest we lose the grace of God (Yahweh). Let us be sober and wait and hope for his grace at his second coming.
Because we have Christ as our High Priest, let us come boldly to the throne of heavenly grace, that we may obtain mercy and find the grace to help in time of need.
