Holiness : When we talk about being holy and holiness, our thoughts immediately turn towards God (Yahweh), for who else do we know who is holy? Holiness brings to our mind the majesty, the divinity of the Creator as distinct from His creation. Holiness is the same as God and divinity. For us, holiness means being of one mind with God (Yahweh). Being or becoming holy is not as one time process, it is a continuous or day-to-day process. Developing holiness will release God (Yahweh)’s power in all we do. How do we develop this holiness? How can we be of the same mind as God (Yahweh)?

The first step towards holiness is to repent of our sins and be baptized. Acknowledge that you are a sinner. Remember there is no one Holy except the Almighty (1 Sam2:2)
Spend time with God to develop holiness. If we wish to be holy, then we must live according to His word. We must live up to him, not he with you. We have to raise ourselves to meet His high standards, He will not stoop down to our standards.
Remember Paul’s advice to Timothy, ‘continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them’. Continue to do things you have learned…read, pray, show love, etc. (2Tim.3: 14.) Deut 6: 6-9 says tells us to remember His commandments at all times, teach our children the same, so that when they too grow up, they will not depart from His ways.

When speaking to Moses, God said that He (Yahweh) has put life and death before the Israelites. He has put the same choice before us today. Choose life, because then you choose health, prosperity, abundance and favour with God (Yahweh). He will bless you wherever you go. (Deut.30:14-20). Jesus (Yahshua) also gives us the same choice. Strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leads unto life and few there be that find it. (Matt.7:14) It is very easy to acquire bad habits but very difficult to get out of them. Satan is a big liar. He wants to steal men’s souls and so he will make put the seed of doubt in you and you will start doubting every good thing that you want to do. Submit yourselves to God (Yahweh). Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (Jas.4:7)
 Make the right choices in life. God (Yahweh) will be your Father and bless you. When you choose him, separate yourself from the things which separate you from Him (2Cor.6:14-19, Rev.18: 4)

Do not yoke yourself with unbelievers. Do not think or meditate on the ways of unbelievers. Your fellowship is affected. Even if it means that your relationships with your friends are affected, do not try to follow their ways. Be ready to come out of the world and be with God (Yahweh). Do not conform to the world. Remember that we are strangers in this land and we look to a city whose builder and maker is God (Yahweh). (Heb.11: 10)
Do not follow the world (Prov.14:12). There is a way which seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Spend time by studying and reading the word, praying and obeying God (Yahweh)’s commandments.(Prov13:13). God (Yahweh) will provide the answers. Put into practice what you have learned from the Bible. Cultivate the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace… (Gal.5: 22). Show them in your daily life. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the spirit.
   
Let us therefore perfect holiness and mature in holiness by cleansing ourselves from all filthiness of flesh. Endure and resist temptation. When we are tempted, we sin and sin brings death. Cleanliness should be a daily process. Every day, when we pray, let us examine our thoughts and actions and ask God (Yahweh)’s forgiveness for our sins. Until you deal with the sin in your life, you are too burdened down to run the race. Correct your sins when they are small. It is difficult to correct then once they grow big!
Examine your thoughts and actions, make changes when things are out of tune with God (Yahweh). You can become holy by adjusting the areas that are out of tune with God (Yahweh)’s mind.(Heb.12: 13-14)
Teach children how to cleanse themselves and let them also make this a daily habit.
Rev21; 8 says,’ the fearful, the unbelieving, the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake of fire which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.’
Let us therefore know our mind and perfect holiness, and present our bodies a living, sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God (Yahweh). (Rom.12: 1-2).
