Seed of fear or seed of faith?
We as human beings have so many fears in life , though at times when things go on smoothly we still have inward fears and questions marks? We fail to understand the purpose of life. Fear brings confusion and there is no clarity of what we should do! A fearless mind is a clear mind and a sound mind where we can think and work properly. God (Yahweh) has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind (II Tim.2:7). Let us observe a few characters of this fear which leads to destruction of our lives. When there is no fear there is faith and confidence, courage to build our lives. So feed your faith and fears will starve.

1. Fear makes us worry and stop working...Faith helps us to do good.
Fear makes us worry about things as the disciples of Messiah lost faith  and feared people and shut themselves after His death on the cross.(John.20:19-20)Messiah says, ‘Peace be unto you.’ He builds faith in the disciples by his presence and encourages by giving them peace Faith makes us do good works to help others… faith without works is dead (James.2: 15-20)

2. Fear kills a person...Faith makes us live.
Fear depresses and kills people and puts them in bondage. (Heb.2: 15) Fear discourages and there is no hope. The bondage of fear destroys their lives totally. Faith encourages (Josh.1:8) Faith gives hope. The just shall live by faith. Gal3:11. We walk by faith not by sight (2Cor.5: 7) In spite of troubles in our lives, we still have faith and hope that the Almighty Father is there to take care. So we live by faith.

3. Fear does not allow miracles…Faith makes miracles work.
In Job Chapter 1, Job’s children were blessed and were enjoying life celebrating. But Job feared and started praying and offering sacrifices for them so that his children may be well protected. Because of this fear in his heart, we see the children were destroyed by sudden calamities. Faith makes miracles work. (Gal.3:5) in our lives because we trust God (Yahweh) and know our Master will help us in any situation, therefore we see the result... i.e., miracles in our life.

4. Fear is unbelief…Faith is trusting God (Yahweh).
Fear is guilt and sin. Because we fear, we do not believe God (Yahweh) and unbelief (not trusting God (Yahweh)) is sin (John.16: 9) Fear makes us sin against God (Yahweh) by doing wrong things.
This unbelief in God (Yahweh) and fear comes because of lack of the Word of God (Yahweh), .i.e. we do not read the Bible, and we do not attend prayer meetings or churches where the messages of God (Yahweh) enter our hearts and feeds our spirits to believe in God (Yahweh). Hosea.4:8 tells us that people perish because of lack of wisdom. What is this wisdom? ‘Heavenly Wisdom’ is the word of God (Yahweh) (Jas.3: 17) which is pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and hypocrisy. Faith comes by hearing the word of God (Yahweh) (Rom.10: 17). Faith makes us holy and sanctifies us (Acts.26: 18). Faith is trusting God (Yahweh). Ps. 137: 3). When we sin against God (Yahweh), we do things against His word. We break His commandments and will be judged for these wrong deeds. If we believe I God (Yahweh) who saved us, we are justified by faith. (Gal3:8), and we will not be judged. (Rom.1: 8) They are free from the law of sin and death.

5. Fear leads to failure…Faith leads to hope and success.
Through fear there is unbelief and God (Yahweh)’s promises cannot be seen in their lives, but through faith in God (Yahweh) all the promises are fulfilled in a believer’s life. (Gal.3: 14). When we walk by this fear, it will lead to destruction and death…eternal death.
‘When we walk by faith we believe every word of God (Yahweh), which leads to abundant life. (John.10:10). We may not see things happening but hope and trust through faith leads to great miracles. Heb.6: 12 teaches us that through faith and patience they inherited the promise of God (Yahweh).

6. Fear leads to curses…Faith leads to blessings.
John writes in Rev.21: 8 that the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers and sorcerers, idolaters, all liars shall take part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone which is the second death. So fearful are cursed and destroyed totally which is the second or eternal death.
In Mark 4:40, the disciples were stuck in the storm and were fearful that they would die. The Master rose from His sleep and rebuked the sea and wind. He said,’ Peace, be still’, and there was a great calm. He turned to His disciples and asked why they did not have faith. Messiah said to His disciples in Matt 17: 7, ‘Arise and be not afraid!’
In John.20: 27-30, He told Thomas, ‘Be not faithless but believing’, i.e., have faith. Blessed are those who believe!

a. Blessing of healing…’Fear not, only believe and have faith and she will be well’.(Luke 8: 50) This was Messiah who told Jairus, whose daughter was raised from death. Many times, when Messiah healed people, He said that their faith would make them whole.

b. Blessing of abundance (plenty)…Faith of a mustard seed’s size can make mountains melt. (Lk.6: 34-44) Messiah took the five loaves and two fish and He prayed and thanked the Father with faith, so the loaves and fish were multiplied. It is difficult to please God (Yahweh) without faith (Heb.11: 6)

c. Blessing of marriage…
When you trust in the Lord, He will bless the labour of your hands. Your wife will be as fruitful vine, children are His reward. They shall see their children’s children (i.e., grand children)
Faith makes us righteous (Gal.3: 6; 2Cor.3:21; Heb.11: 33-35). By faith, they subdued kingdoms, got righteousness, obtained promises, stopped lions’ mouths (enemies), quenched violence, escaped the sword, were made strong in weakness, waxed valiant in fight, raised to life…the list is endless.
Are we in a state of fear and receiving the fruit of fear like depression, troubles and failures without faith or are we I great faith, fulfilling the promises of health, wealth, joy and peace with abundant life and great success?
