Sin and its’ Consequences:
The wages of sin is death but the gift of God (Yahweh) is eternal life (Rom.6:23)
What is sin?
1. Sin is the transgression of the law. If we do not do things according to the law, it is disobeying the rule and that is sin. (1John.3: 4)
2. Knowing to do good and if we do not do it, that is sin. (Jas.4: 17).
3. Fear is sin.
4. Unbelief in God (Yahweh) is sin. (John.16: 19).
If we sin, we cannot be children of God (Yahweh), but we are devil’s children (1John 3: 8) Cain sinned by killing his brother Abel because he was influenced by the devil. Love turned into jealousy and his thoughts were seen in his deeds (Gen.4:5-8; 1John.3: 12). God (Yahweh) talked directly to his people. He accepted their offerings in the Old Testament times and told them how they were to live in this world. He gave them rules through his scriptures and how they were to follow them in their daily lives.
But man could not keep these rules or commandments. He did things according to his own will and pleasure. He started disobeying God (Yahweh). As a compromise to situation in life he started telling lies, deceiving, being angry at times when things did not work his way. Anger led to strife, jealousy, pride, hatred, envy, selfish ambitions, lust, idolatry, contentions, adultery, drunkenness and all the works of the flesh (worldly way). (Gal.5:19-21; Eph.4:17; 25-32; Eph.5:1-6, 11; Rev.21:8.) All these sinful deeds made man’s life miserable. These sins did not give him peace, happiness or joy. Such life becomes meaningless. He can neither live his life peacefully nor does he allow his neighbor to be in peace. Love is totally destroyed. Though they outwardly look happy, and wear a smile on their face, their heart is full of turmoil, they cannot sleep well, nor can they enjoy the food with which God (Yahweh) has blessed them with. They have money but they cannot use it for their needs.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Yahweh) (Rom 3: 23). If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us .If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.(1John 1:8).Every person makes mistakes, no man is pure or perfect. One person may sin by envying, another may deceive, another person may speak lies, some may steal, or disobey gods word .each person differs in the way he sins, but all do sin.
We have a few examples of sin. Adam and Eve sinned by disobedience, eating the forbidden fruit. Cain sinned by being jealous of his brother and killed him. Nimrod’s sin was his pride, David’s sin was adultery, and Achan’s sin was stealing clothes and gold. Gehazi sinned because of lust for money. Ananias and Saphira sinned by telling lies, Jonah the prophet sinned by disobeying God (Yahweh)’s word.
The wages of sin is death (Rom.6: 23)
Sinful life’s reward leads to death, i.e., spiritual death. Their god is their food, their money, their positions in life (2 Tim.3: 1-5). They have a form of godliness but deny the presence of God (Yahweh) and his power. Man is striving hard to make his life beautiful and happy by his own might, wisdom and ability, taking pride in his achievements which still do not give him satisfaction, but kill him day by day, creating tensions and stress in his life. We hear about so many people suffering because of this way of life. There is no rest and they have to endure so many hardships. But God (Yahweh) says, ‘Come unto me and I will give you rest, leave your way of working, listen to my word, obey my rules and live. Life is full of blessings and I will give it to you free of cost. Just come to me. Ask and it shall be given, seek me and you shall find all things’.

Don’t lead your way to death, because the reward of sinful life is hell. (Rev.21:8; 1 Cor.6:9) but the gift of God (Yahweh) is eternal life. Sin leads to death, .i.e. spiritual death to eternal death. So godly sorrow leads to repentance and salvation, whereas worldly sorrow leads to death (1Cor 7:9.)

When man changes his attitude, he starts living a godly (Jas.4:17, 18), pure, righteous and peaceful life. He stars loving people, helping the needy, comforting and caring for others, feeding the hungry, giving to the poor, doing good deeds, which is the beginning of his good life. He reads the Bible daily, meditates and obeys the word of God (Yahweh), talking edifying words (Eph. 4:29), not lying neither deceiving (Eph.5:6), not provoking others to anger (Gal.5:26), not back biting and destroying others (Gal.5:15).
So think about your soul. Are you leading a sinful life to death? Have you repented of your sin? Ask Messiah to forgive your sin and wash you in his blood.
Be an example to other believers in your word, conduct, love, faith in spirit  and purity, reading the word, exhortation, and keeping the faith (1 Tim. 4:12-16) that people may see your spiritual progress in your life and you will save your soul and others too.
Yes, this gift of eternal life through Jesus (Yahshua) Christ (Messiah) is given to us free of cost. But we still have to accept him as our Saviour, leaving the sinful life because its’ consequences are death and hell (eternal death). Once you turn from these sinful deeds and truly repent in your heart, which is the first step towards salvation, and continue in the godly way of life by obeying his word and doing these things in your daily life, you can enjoy his abundant and successful and progressive life now on earth and eternal life in heaven.
‘All that are in the graves will hear his voice, and shall come forth; those who have done good, to resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to resurrection of condemnation’. (John.5: 28-29)
