Is there any word from Yahweh? Jer.37:17.
Jeremiah was the last prophet to Judah. He lived about 60 years after Isaiah. His ministry lasted about 40 years and he saw 5 kings on the throne of Judah. Yet none of the kings listened to him. King Zedekiah was the son of King Josiah.
Zedekiah had made a pact with Egypt to rebel against Babylon. The people of Judah did not want to listen to the Jeremiah. They put Jeremiah in prison falsely accusing him as a traitor. Now Zedekiah visits him secretly to ask if Jeremiah had a message from the Lord. Jeremiah's message was that the king of Babylon would come and overthrow the king and the city of Jerusalem. Zedekiah did not listen to Jeremiah. Nebuchadnezzar made war with Zedekiah and took him prisoner. His two sons were put to death before his eyes. His eyes were put out by Nebuchadnezzar and he was taken prisoner to Babylon where he finally died.

Toady, as always, there is a message for all of us from Yahweh. It may not be the word that we like to hear or it may make us uncomfortable, but Elohim has a word for us. In the Old Testament “Thus saith the Lord” or similar words occur about 3800 times!
Paul, in 2 Tim.3:16, tells us: "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
Jeremiah had the Word of the Lord "burning within his heart!" He knew that there was always Word from Elohim. Because no one was willing to listen to him, he became upset he vowed that he would never preach again or even mention the Elohim’s name again! But the word began to burn within him and he said (Jer. 20:9) "But His Word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay”.

The Bible is full of instances where the word of Yahweh has transformed people’s lives. The Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well (John.4) heard the word form Messiah and confessed that he was indeed the Messiah. Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, listened to the word of Messiah. Cornelius, a Roman centurion, heard the word of Yahweh from Peter and he and his whole family was saved. Philip preached the word to the Ethiopian eunuch and he believed and was baptized.

Elohim has a word for everyone-the unsaved, the backsliding and the saved.
To the unsaved the word of Yahweh is an invitation to eternal life. Yahshua said, "...Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke.13:5). Repentance means making a complete U-turn in our lives, to turn from sin and towards Elohim.

To the backsliding Christian he says, “Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings." Jer. 3:22. The backsliding Christian has forgotten how he was before he was saved. He has forgotten all the blessings that he received from Elohim. He has forgotten the grace of Elohim. Yahweh is exhorting us through Jeremiah to return to him. Jonah tried to run away from Elohim but he turned back to the Lord. The prodigal son repented and went back to his father. The message is very clear-repent and turn back to Elohim.

To the children of Yahweh the message is not to be hearers of the word only but doers of the word. You may be going to church regularly, maybe on various church committees, but if you are not living according to Yahweh’s commandments, if you do not show the fruit of the spirit in your life, then you need to live according to the word of Yahweh. We are to live a transformed life.

There is definitely a word from Elohim to us this year. There are many people in our churches today,

who are not regular in prayer, who are lukewarm. They are regular to church and are full of energy in the
summer but become cold in the winter because it is too cold to go to church in the morning! They have to hear the word from the Lord, whether of encouragement or plain conversion.

In God’s word we see there is power. When He spoke the first word, that word was Messiah as it is written in John.1:1”In the beginning was the word and the word was with God (Yahweh), and the word was God (Yashua Messiah)”. This word was a creative word. The world was also created by His word. The six days of creation that we read in Genesis 1 was created by His powerful word. He created the light, earth, sun, moon, stars, animals, birds and fish.

Messiah is the living word. John. 1: 14,” And the Lord was made flesh and dwelt among us”. Messiah says,” I am the way, the truth and life”. So He alone can give us everlasting life. This word is given to us in the form of Holy Bible which explains all the laws of life, to be healthy, wealthy and wise, to lead a righteous, sober, triumphant life, in spite of difficulties. Apostle Paul says in 1 Cor. 10: 13. the word of Yah shows us a way to escape these difficult situations.I have heard some non-believers say that if we repeat certain words they get whatever they wish for. I think it is a sort of positive thinking.

Dear friend, there’s power in the word of Yah (God) and the power is the working force for all the miracles in our lives, repeat these words meaningfully with faith…receive the blessing. The word has life; this word is also called as living waters, which satisfies the needs of our daily life. They regenerate us, revive us and make us live a powerful life that makes us do righteous works and leads us to eternity.

Yes, there is a word form the Lord. The word of Yahweh, it is Spirit and life. Let’s obey the word of Yahweh while we still have ‘today’. Tomorrow may not be ours.
