The purpose of our life: Many people go through lives without understanding the meaning of life or their purpose in life. Many times in our lives we reflect on our lives and we ask ourselves what is the purpose of our existence or why has Yahweh created man.
Man was created for a specific purpose.
Psalms.102:18. the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
Isa.43:7, for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Isa.43:21, This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
Rev.4:11, for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Eph.2:10, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works.
The above verses show that Yahweh had something specific in his mind when he created man. I will show you some of the reasons why we were created; I call them the 5 W’s why we are created.

Worship: Yahweh is the object of our worship and praise. He is our Creator, he has made us and also made us as a new creation. (2Cor.5:17).We are created for his glory (Isa.43:7). In Milton’s Paradise Lost Raphael explains that God created man to replace the empty space that the fallen angels have left in heaven. We are created to praise and worship Elohim. In Rev.7.9 we read of a great multitude which praise and worship the Father. If we are going to be a part of that multitude we had better start practicing now. ‘The people which shall be created shall praise Yahweh’ (Psa.102:18, Isa.43:21).  ‘Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created’ (Rev.4:11).

Witness: We should be witnesses to Messiah for all the blessings that he has showered on us. In Acts.1:8 Messiah tells his disciples that they will be his witnesses unto the uttermost parts of the earth. We witness for Messiah by living pure Christian lives. We should tell others how He paid the price for our sins. We are called to be Christians so that we will obtain or inherit the blessing of eternal life (1Pet.3:9). But instead of this, man is ungrateful and lives his own selfish life and destroys himself. This has been the pattern of life from the very beginning (Gen.6:5).

Work for Yahweh: We should all work to proclaim his kingdom and prepare our fellow men for it (2Cor.6:1). We should first seek the kingdom of Yahweh and His righteousness (Matt.6:33). We should show the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. Do good, be patient, be loving, forgiving, trusting, trustworthy, be at peace with one another and live happily in the Lord. But man is doing exactly the opposite and destroying his life. Man’s imagination is only evil (Gen.6:5) and instead of striving for eternal life his thoughts are suicidal. ‘For we are his workmanship created in Yahshua Messiah for good works (Eph.2:10).

Worthy Life: Yahweh wants us to live a life worthy of our calling with which we have been called (Eph.4:1), worthy of being called a Christian. Yahweh wants us all to be united, of one mind, of one body, of one Spirit, of one faith, and of one Lord. As members of the body of Messiah we have to grow towards maturity, there should be no divisions in the church. Our lives should be such that Elohim will call us ‘blessed of my Father’ (Matt25:34). Yahweh will appreciate and reward us according to our deeds (Rev.22:12).

Walk with Yahweh: Yahweh wants us to spend time with him, even as he did with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Enoch walked with Elohim (Gen.5:22). Noah walked with Elohim (Gen.6:9). Enoch and Noah were both normal persons with families and responsibilities but their guidance was from above. Because they walked with Elohim, Elohim took Enoch away and Noah found grace in the sight of Elohim. Man, however, wants to live in the world, with all worldly pleasures and attractions. He is busy pursuing a career, trying to be successful, laying up treasures for himself on earth. The lives of many

Christians are no different from that of a non-Christian, not trusting Elohim or His plan but trusting in his own wisdom and ruing his life.

Finding the purpose of life has been one of mankind’s greatest questions. But the answer is really very simple. Elohim has created us with a purpose.Jer.29:11 says’ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.’ ‘For we are his workmanship created in Yahshua Messiah for good works (Eph.2:10). Yahweh wants that we should worship him and be a living witness for Messiah.
