Blessed People
Blessed people are those who are happy and blessed by the Almighty. Blessed are those who dwell in the house of the Yahweh. (Ps.84: 4.) There was a man of Elohim called Abraham who was blessed by Him. It is written in Genesis.12: 2-3,” I will bless you and make you a great nation, and you shall be a blessing...in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” From Abraham’s descendents, came all the nations of the earth. Abraham is called the ‘Father of Nations’, and because of him the Almighty wants to bless all the families of the earth.
Blessing of wealth: Financial blessing are given in Deut.28: 1. “The Lord will open to you His good treasures, the heavens to give you rain to your land in its’ seasons, and to bless the work of your hand. You shall lend to many but you shall not borrow.”
Eph.3: 16. He would grant you according to the riches of his glory.
Prov.8: 21.”I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth that I may fill their treasures. because riches and honor are with me. Prov.8: 18, Rev.5: 12.
Philip.4; 19.”My Lord shall supply all my needs.
Prov.10: 22.”The blessing of the Lord makes one rich.”
Prov.19: 17.”He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord and He will pay back what he has given. That is if we help the poor and needy we are giving a loan to the Lord. He does not keep it but repays it with blessings. So test the Lord and see the result!
Similarly tithes and offerings are the Lords, I.e. when we are blessed with riches we are supposed to give 1/10 of our finances whenever we go to church or prayer meetings, give to the Lord. He says,“ Test me and I will open the treasures of the Heaven and bless you abundantly”, (Mal.3: 10.)
Blessing of health: We know the very common saying ‘health is wealth’. If we are strong we do things more efficiently. If we are sick, we cannot concentrate on what we do and we feel very depressed. Sometimes we spend all our earnings on medication and still are helpless. There is a promise in the Bible, Ex.23: 25.”You shall serve the Yahweh your Elohim and He will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of you.”
Ex.15: 26,”If you hear the voice of Yahweh and do what is right in His sight and give ear to His commandments and keep His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the lord who heals you.”
Deut.32: 39. The Lord proclaims that He is the creator and the Almighty Elohim,” There is no other elohim beside me, I kill and I make alive, I wound and I heal, nor is there any one who can deliver from my hand”. Here we understand that there will be no other elohim to heal us or deliver us from any sickness of this world. Therefore He proclaims in Jer.33: 6.” Behold, I will bring health and healing; I will heal them and reveal them the abundance of peace and truth.
Blessing of food: In Eccl.2: 24, King Solomon writes,” There is nothing better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and that his soul should enjoy good in his labor. This also is from the hand of the Lord. In Isa.62: 8-9, Elohim promises blessing to enjoy the food of our labor. We will enjoy the fruits of our labors and no stranger will take them away. The same promise is given in Ps.128: 1-2. In Deut.28: 58, the Lord blesses even the vessels in which we cook as well as the storehouses. There are people who labor and earn but cannot enjoy the fruit of their labor. This is a curse.
Blessing of Authority and Honor: The Lord will make you the head and not the tail. You shall be above and not beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord. Deut.28: 13.
Exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west but Elohim is the judge, He puts one down and exalts another. Ps.75: 7. In Job.5: 11, the Lord sets on high those who are lowly…the blessing of the Lord on those whom He loves…He crowns him with pure gold upon his head to make him a king, honor and majesty you place upon him. The Lord has given us a royal priesthood to serve Him. I Pet.2: 9. Power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, all belong to Him.
Blessing of Wisdom: When Solomon became the king of Israel, he offered sacrifices at Gibeon. The Lord appeared to him in a dream and asked him what he wanted. King Solomon asked the Lord for wisdom to reign over the people of Israel in righteousness. The Lord not only blessed him with wisdom but also with riches, honor and long life. I Kings.3: 8-15. James says in Jas.1: 15,”If any of you lack in wisdom, let him ask of Elohim who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Prov.1: 6. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
This is how the Lord blesses us as it is written in Eccl.2: 26.Elohim gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight.
Blessing of married life and children: Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. Ps.127: 1. Marriages are made in heaven and that it is the Lord’s doing. The man who is blessed by the Lord has a fruitful wife and the children are a heritage from the Lord. Ps.127: 3; 128: 3,6.
Prov.18: 22, ‘He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.
Prov.19: 14. Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers but a prudent wife is from the Lord.
Prov.12: 4, an excellent wife is the crown of her husband
Prov.14: 1, every wise woman builds her house…l the virtues of a wife are written in Proverbs.31: 10-31.
Blessing of peace: In spite of having health, wealth and wisdom, if there is no peace of mind, you feel depressed, troubled and unhappy. Therefore the Lord proclaims peace on His disciples John.14: 27.”Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you not as the world gives to you. Let not your hearts be troubles, neither let it be afraid. The kingdom of Elohim is not food and drink but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Rom.14: 17.
So if we fear Elohim we are blessed in every way of life.
