Assembly of Yahweh-7th Day

Hyderbad, India

DOCTRINE OF FAITH

The brethren of Messiah are the members of the Assembly of Yahweh, who believe in the basic faith that was once delivered to the saints (believers) clearly. (Jude 3) We believe that this statement of faith will be instrumental in uniting us all under one banner as the body of Messiah and will enable us to give a witness of the testimony of our faith to all who seek the truth and pursue it.

  1. To interpret the inspired scriptures correctly, we must use the Old Testament as the basis of faith, and the New Testament as the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophesies, to bring complete harmony in the word achieving sound doctrine (Matt.5:17; Luke.24;44-46; Acts.17:11; 2Tim.3:14-17)
  2. There is one Almighty Father, who is above all and to whom we owe our reverence and worship (Duet.6:14; Matt4:10; 1Cor.8:4-6; Matt.6:9; John.4:21-24; John.10:31; John.14:28).
  3. We affirm that Messiah has come in human form and recognized as the Saviour in the New Testament. He pre-existed with the Father(John.1:1; John.16:28-30; John.17:5; Phil.2:5-11) He was born of the virgin Mary (Matt.1:18-23)He lived a sinless life (1Pet.2:22) that through His death on Mt. Calvary, we have atonement of sins (Isa.53:4-6,12: Heb.9:11-12)and rose again on the third day (1Cor.15:1-8)to give us a hope of resurrection (Rom.5:6-12; 1John.5:9-13) Now Messiah is advocating for humanity to the Father.(Rom.8:34)
  4. It is very important to use and accept the revealed and sacred name of our Father –YAHWEH-YHWH and his Son YAHSHUA MESSIAH. As there is salvation only in His name (Ex.3:14-15) his people will know his name (Ps.68:4; Ps.83:18; Isa.52:6; Acts.4:12).
  5. The Holy Spirit is the mighty power from the Heavenly Father and He dwells within us (John.4:4) so that we are equipped with ability and strength to our lives into a state of perfection, pleasing to the Heavenly Father. (John.15”14-27) The Holy Spirit is very essential in our lives because he gives us life, peace and understanding, comfort (Rom.8:6) and leads us into all truth (John.16:7-13).
  6. It is important to keep all the Ten Commandments, which the Almighty Father gave to Israel (Deut.6:6-9; 7:9-19). The Decalogue (Deut20:1-17) especially the weekly Seventh-day Sabbath, which is a sign between YAHWEH and His people (Ex.31:12-17). It is to be observed from sunset to sunset. Yahweh blessed the Sabbath and sanctified it (Ex.20:11; 31:17-21; Lev.23:32; Heb.4:4; Mk.2:27).
  7. Sin is transgression of the law (Lev.4:2; 13:27; 1John.3:14). Knowing to do good and not doing it is also sin. Unbelief in the Lord is sin.(Heb.11:6; Jas.4:17)
  8. In order to be free from sin, realize the mistake and repent, then accept the blood shed by Messiah for atonement of our sins and be redeemed from sin. Submitting to his will and accepting Him as our personal Saviour. (John.5;24; Rom.8:6-10; 3:23-26; 10:8-10; Eph.1:6-7; Hb.10:26-31; 1 John.1:6-10).
  9. After repentance, as a witness, water baptism is necessary (Matt.3:13-17; Acts.2:38; Rom.6:3-23; 1 Cor.10:1-10)
  10. . Baptism in water and by the Holy Spirit helps us to enter into the kingdom of Yahweh and we are called as children of Yahweh.(John.1:33; 3:5; Heb.6:2; Rom.8:16-17; Acts.1:4-8; 2:1-4; 4:3; 19:1-5)
  11. The scriptural day begins and ends at sunset.(Gen.1:5,8; Lev.23:32; Mk.1:32). The scriptural months are determined by the new moons. (Ps.81:3) The first day of each month is delineated by the appearance of the crescent.(Is.66:2,23)
  12. We affirm the unity of the church. (1Cor.1:10; 1Cor8:6), one body and one spirit (Eph.4:3-4; 4:5), one Elohim and one faith. The body is the church, the members are believers who will join Messiah at His second coming.
  13. The observance of the New Covenant instituted by Yahshua Messiah before His death, to do it in remembrance of his death, till He comes.(1Cor.11:26). To take part in worship, washing of the feet as He says it is blessed to do it. (John.13:14-17). Blood of the New Covenant: Matt.26:28, in remembrance of the annual observance of our Saviour’s death.
  14. Feast of Pentecost: Formation of the church (Acts.2:1-5; Lev.23:15-21; Deut.16:9-11). Pentecost is counted after the morrow of the Sabbath from the sheaf of wave offering (First Fruits) seven weeks and the fiftieth day is the harvest on the earth.
  15. Observance of Messiah’s birth: It corresponds with the Feast of Tabernacles (Lev.23:34-36; Deut.16:13-16) and not with Christmas. The feast is also observed in the millennium (Zach.14:21). Messiah was crucified as a paschal lamb on Passover day, i.e.14th day of the first month. He was 33 years and 6 months of age. So he was born in the 7th month 15th day.
  16. We affirm that our Saviour will establish His kingdom on earth…the New Jerusalem (Rev.21”1-2) and He will dwell with the people (Matt.5:5; Rev.5:10). This millennial kingdom will prevail for 1000 years and will be set up by Yahshua Messiah at His second coming. At that time, righteousness will be established. The earth will be rebuilt into an Edenic paradise that was lost through sin and is now regained by Messiah (Is.11:1-10; Matt.6:10; 1Cor.15:22). At the end of the millennium is the Judgment Day when the books are opened and people are judged according to their works (Eccl.12:13-14; Matt.12:36-37; Rev.20:11-15).
  17. We believe that satan will be destroyed at the end of the millennium (Rom.16:20; Rev.20:13-14).After the destruction of satan and his followers, Messiah will submit Himself to Yahweh, to reign eternally and their believers will have eternal life and the rest will have eternal death (Rev,20:14-15; 21:8; 22:14-15)
  18. Observance of clean and unclean foods (Lev.11:1-47; Deut.14:3-21). This is important for our physical well being.
  19. Praying over the sick, anointing with oil in the name of Yahshua Messiah for healing of the sick (Ex.15:26,23; 23:25; Deut.32:35; Is.53:4-5; Jas.5:13-20).
  20. Praying with one accord for any problem (Matt.18:20; 21:22). Praising and worshipping him(Ps.2:3; Heb13:15-16), reading the word, exhorting and teaching (1Tim.4:13-16). Tithes and offerings to help the spreading of the gospel (Mal.3:10).
  21. Proclaiming the gospel, the great commission given to every brother and believer (Matt.28:20; Mk.16:15-18). If any other gospel is preached by anyone apart from the truth, we do not accept it (Gal.1:8-9). Do not add or remove a word from the Bible (Rev.22:19).
