About us

Assembly of Yahweh-7th Day, Hyderabad, India, was started in 2001, as a fellowship of brethren who believe in the Seventh-Day Sabbath and in the inspired holy names of the Almighty as Yahweh and His Son as Yahshua. The roots of this organization can be traced back to the 1930’s when Elder Alex D. Rathnam started his ministry in Hyderabad City. He preached the gospel in the districts of Andhra Pradesh in India. He was instrumental in spreading the truths about the seventh–day Sabbath, the Holy Names and the appointed feasts. After his passing away in 1989, his grand daughter Dr. Anna Zipporah and her husband Pastor Benhur Kishore have continued his evangelical work.

We believe that the New Testament is a fulfillment of the Old Testament and that both should be read together to understand the sacred scriptures correctly. Please see the section ‘Doctrine of Faith’ in this website for a full understanding of our beliefs. The brethren who attend our fellowship have come from different backgrounds and denominations. They had been exposed to many of the false teachings prevalent these days. We try and help them to get rid of their erroneous beliefs and teach them the truths directly from the Bible. We use the King James Version of the Bible for our study.

We publish a monthly paper called “Trumpets” which contains articles dealing with a variety of subjects for the edification and enlightenment of the believers. There is also a section for children which has a Bible story in brief and a quiz corner.

Ours is a self-supporting ministry and is run solely on the tithes and offerings of the members.

We welcome you to join us for our worship services at the following address:

If you have any questions about the Bible, we will gladly try to answer them for you.
